The CDM allows emission-reduction projects in developing countries to earn certified emission reduction (CER) credits, each equivalent to one tonne of CO2. TheseCERs can be traded and sold, and used by industrialized countries to a meet a part of their emission reduction targets under the Kyoto Protocol. The mechanism stimulates sustainable development and emission reductions, while giving industrialized countries some flexibility in how they meet their emission reduction limitation targets
The voluntary programmes of GS (Gold Standard) derives itself from the challenge that governments and organisations currently face related to climate change. These programmes which are adopted by organisations on a voluntary basis, contribute towards achieving the objectives of the Kyoto Protocol on climate change and allow organisations that implement them to obtain emission credits (VER). Earthood provides both Validation and Verification of GS at very competiitve prices and high level of deliverance.
Earthood makes validation and verification services available to organisations for programmes, adopted on a voluntary basis, which contribute to reducing emissions and achieving the objectives established by the Kyoto Protocol. Our team has undertaken numerous VCS projects all over the globe under varied sectoral scopes.
The Pilot Auction Facility is an innovative pay-for-performance instrument that will use auctions to maximize the use of limited public resources for climate change mitigation while leveraging private sector financing.
SOCIALCARBON is a Standard developed by the Ecologica Institute that certifies emission reduction projects for their contributions to sustainable development. Earthood is in under assessment of being an approved verifier for Social Carbon Standard.
